Please pray for God’s divine provision and open doors for CMS-Africa work and programmes to grow and expand, serving God’s people, in the coming year.
Canon Johnson Chinyong’ole who is one of the CMS-Africa champions and Samaritan strategy chairman of SSA Tanzania has been appointed the General Secretary of the Anglican church of Tanzania.
He replaces Rev Canon Dr Dickson Chilongani who has now become the new bishop of Central Tanganyika (Dodoma). Canon Johnson has successfully championed SSA work in Morogoro and throughout Tanzania. He requests our prayers as he takes up this new responsibility .Please also pray for the diocese of Morogoro as they seek to fill the gap left by Canon Johnson.
The Africa Gospel Church has organised nine VISION Conferences from 2nd – 5th December that will be on the occasion of the denominational Leadership Conferences. These meetings will gather 4,500 leaders from all their ministry regions.
Thank God for the planning that has been successful, and for all the eighteen SSA facilitators who will conduct the training. Pray that the truth of God’s Word would march forth and inspire all these leaders to seek the manifestation of the Kingdom of God among people through various ways, including transformed communities.
CMS-Africa has organised a youth trainings at St Teresa Catholic church on 4th and 8th December 2014, where an interdenominational forum for youths from the area will be introduced to 3D with special focus on entrepreneurship.
Let’s pray for the facilitators Jackson Wanga and Zadock Oluoch that God’s will use them to impact the youths and that groups will be formed for a 3 months in depth study on the 3 books resulting in more TOTs for CMS Africa.
From 8th – 11th December, a group of young people affiliated with at least four denominations will go through the beginning of the 3Ds youth training course. 3Ds refers to a programme where the youth Discover, Develop and Deploy their gifts, talents, abilities and even experiences to the glory of God, creating value through work and service to others. The key organiser is one of the facilitators for our Women training course. Civil authorities and local business people will also be included.
Pray that the young people would get a vision of immense possibilities and in which they are proactive agents of transformation of their own lives and others. Pray for the facilitators to discern and respond to the real needs of the participants, that Jesus Christi would shine forth as the true Life Giver.
The final conversations with a local bank to give a bridging finance to help in fast-tracking the construction of 850 Chania project is now complete and all the documents required have been submitted.
Pray that the Lord God would grant a favorable answer to the request by CMS-Africa leadership even as the bank officials make the final decision so that the construction work can commence soon.
Pray for the process of renewal of building permits from the county government. Pray that the board of the financial institution we are working with will issue a letter of offer in writing within this week.
Kindly, also pray for the Footprints Campaign that many friends and partners would continue giving towards making missions work in Africa and beyond economically sustainable now and in days to come.
