Testimonial from SSATrainers and CMS-Africa Champi…

Champion Rev. Joe Orlale went through a VISION Conference 16 years ago. In 1999 I met Rev. Dennis Tongoi and attended a week long Vision Conference which instantly gave me impetus to pursue my dreams. I went to start Cotton farming in Ahero working through the Voice of Salvation and Healing Ministries (VOSH),” says Joe.

The VISION Conference helped him better understand biblical worldview and it helped him to break the mound of life that he had grown up. “The Samaritan Strategy Africa training helped me to move from Nairobi and go settle in the village working on the cotton farming.

At time the Almighty God calls us out of our comfort zones, to become radical and deliberate about serving him.
Our calling is total dependence upon God even as we serve him.

Rev. Joe testifies of God’s goodness in his family where his Wife has transitioned from Diploma to now completing her PhD.His daughter was at class 3 and when they went to Ahero, they started the school in Ahero where the children went through the schooling and now she is at Egerton University. The boy was at Nursery School in Nairobi and was among the pioneers of their school and finished Primary with 365 marks.

He went to Maseno and emerged with a plain A and is currently pursuing engineering at the University and Nairobi.
Joe himself is involved in running various programmes that are transforming communities in Western parts of Kenya including:-

  1. Ebenezer Childrens Home
  2. Ebenezer Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre
  3. Ebenezer and VOSH church
  4. SSK Kenya/West
  5. Ebenezer CREAM
  6. Ebenezer Widows Programme
  7. Ebenezer New Life School
  8. Involvement with the church Army
  9. National Chaplains for Secondary schools

Rev. Richard Ayimba.

On his Part, Rev. Richard Ayimba views CMS-Africa as a military camp where coaches are trained to train and impact players. The Coaches- champions go out and do the work of God in earnest in obedience to the great commission of discipling the nations.

Rev. Richard Ayimba said he believes in the Samaritan Strategy Programme fully. In all the places he has gone to make VISION Conference presentation: Korogocho, Mathare North,Kawangware, Kayole among others, projects arising from scratch to lots of wealth serving the communities to the glory of God.

Participants in these VISION Conference have been greatly impacted and appreciate tha knowledge and wholistic transformation message shared by Pastor Ayimba. The VISION Conference trainings have really opened up Pastor Richard Ayimba and he is greatly influencing the church in great ways by stirring up the church unto good works.

Pastor Tom Dola started a school feeding Programme. God opened a door for him and now he has bought land, building a permanent stores building for the children and the work of God which he started as a seed project is flourishing.

Pastor Sammy in Ndumberi is also doing great work with his church. He is bringing a change in his communitu even though it has not been easy. Every church has a tradition and to make a change means praying so much.

The most recent VISION Conference held in Kawangware was heartwarming. When he shared about hope for Africa, I inspired the attendants to engage with others.

In Buruburu, the pastors who participated we really thrilled and asked for the same message of wholistic transformation to be taken to other churches as well as the headquarters.

World poverty solutions works with the Full Gospel who are also keen to engage with CMS-Africa in this work. The World Poverty Solution is sponsoring VC’s in Kawangware and Buruburu as highlighted above.

The Pentecostal churches are opening up and CMS-Africa needs to position itself strategically so as to take its influence beyond the Anglican Church.

The VISION Conference conducted at New Dawn was very well delivered through staggered over a period of time.

Stephen Mosheni

Stephen Mosheni one of the key trainers of SSA said that the Samaritan Strategy training is one of the best tool for wholistic community transformation that he has ever come across and taken to heart.
He recently reported having undertaken a training in Arusha in partnership with a Pastor Jason Tanzanian pastor at Kwa Mrombo in Arusha is a town that has emerged due to the sale of goat meat.
The other training he has undertaken in Tanzania is at Mwanza.

The churches in the area where they trained is inhabited by Sukuma. This training was undertaken in partnership with Rev. Joe Orlale
The last training was held at Lamadi:- Between Mwanza and Musoma and attracted over 25 people.

Stephen Mosheni and other SSA trainers will be undertaking a training at the a Highlands university college every vacation period where they are mentoring thousands of pastors serving under the AFRICAN Gospel Church (AGC)

Rev. MeshackOkumu

Rev. Meshack who reported that he has been doing trainings on SSA as well as mentoring of trainers in Kenya and the larger East African Region.
To date he has mentored at least 10 under the Church Community Mobilisation Process (CCMP).

The church grows through multiplication and the churches have continued to expand. The pastor went to the Internet looking for Cache:- the university outreach Programme of SSA and they referred him to MeshackOduke.

The pastor was greatly inspired from the training and really came to appreciate the practical lily of the VISION Conference.
The participants realised that it is not so much in what we speak but what we do.

The VISION Conferences have continued to expand and deal with some of the cultural issues including African beliefs and practices, complacency amongst believers.
Rev. Meshack has recently conducted SSA trainings in Kisumu and Marsabit.

The training on Samaritan Strategy went in well at the Church of Christ in Africa (CCA)
The training in Marsabit was great with over 50 participants from as far as Moyale and Isiolo were in attendance.
SSA doesn't give certificates. One has to implement before they can be acknowledged.
Rev. Meshack is grateful to God opening of doors for tuition for his son Gedaliah Samson

Rev. Dennis Tongoi
SHOFCO an NGO working Kibera and Mathare was proposed by Rev. Dennis Tongoi as another possible partner who are interested in working with the SSA trainers.
Dennis is to help link this organization with the SSA trainers so that they can help shape their world view and perspectives in dealing with issues of poverty.
Rev. Dennis Tongoi to seek to connect with the Bishop in charge of Siaya and see how to introduce the SSA trainings in these parts of the world.
