Democratic Republic of Congo
1. CMS Africa's engagement in D.R.Congo began on the solid foundations laid by CMS Mission Partner Judy Acheson among the youth in Eastern Congo. Today her work is being carried forth by one of her spiritual sons, Bisoke Balikenga, who is based in Mahagi, Eastern Congo.
2. CMS-Africa also works with partners; Harvest Ministries in Congo. Out of this CMS-Africa has appointed Jeff Sikabwe to work in envisioning, equipping the church and the community through training and VISION Conferences. Jeff is also a Samaritan Strategy trainer and works part-time with Harvest Ministries. He is a key champion and facilitator of God's mission in Congo having himself been a refugee in Kenya for many years during the civil war. He currently lives in Kinshasa with his wife and children.
3. The goal of our engagements in D.R.Congo is in line with CMS-Africa goal of 'Renewing Mindsets, Transforming Communities.'
